explanation about any unclear points from the reception staff \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Receive comprehensive care, given without discrimination, by competent personnel that reflect consideration of the patient culture , personal values, and beliefs \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Have appropriate assessment and management of pain. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Participate in decisions regarding their health care. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Provided with information about their continuing health care needs and the means for meeting them. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Refuse\/discontinue the treatment to the extent permitted by law, and to be informed about the potential consequences of their decision. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Ask for a second opinion. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Request a detailed medical report and sick leave notification. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Sign the necessary informed consent prior to the start of any surgery, anesthesia or any other procedures that require consent \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Being supported to fully participate in making informed decisions about their care, treatment and procedures. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Being provided with honest and accurate information in a manner they can understand, about their illness, options for treatment, proposed treatment, potential benefits, potential complications, and the likelihood of success of treatment, and respecting their choices. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Being supported in discussing their plan of care with the physician and having all their questions answered. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Patients are provided with all the information regarding the identity and the professional status of his\/her treating physician and how to contact him\/her. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>When a surgery or procedure is performed, the patient\/family receives information related to the surgery from the surgeon and information related to anesthesia or sedation from the anesthesiologist. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Receive education based on their healthcare needs, which include, but are not necessarily limited to: the nature of their disease; necessary treatments; infection control practices; safe use of medications, diet, and nutrition; medical equipment use; and preoperative and postoperative care. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Receive education to help them give informed consent, participate in the care process, and understand any financial implications of care choices. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Receive education in easily understandable language, and the provided education is evaluated for effectiveness. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Being oriented about the center Mission and Vision and Scope of service. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>The patients and families have the right to receive an initial estimated cost of required services. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>The patients and families have the right to obtain an invoice for services rendered. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Complain about their care to the patient complaint coordinator or through suggestion boxes or complaint forms . \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Being oriented the available source of care for their condition and other alternative treatment(s) inside or outside the center \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Have their privacy protected while receiving services. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Have all information and records pertaining to their medical care treated as confidential except as otherwise governed by the law, or third- party contractual agreement. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Have their medical record confidential, protected from loss or misuse and accessed only by individual(s) involved in their care or by individual(s) authorized by law or regulation.<\/li>\n<li>To be provided with safe care within the environment established in the center.<\/li>\n<li>To be provided with a safety mechanism for protection of their valuables from loss or theft when needed. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>To be protected from physical, verbal or psychological assault.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Patient and Family Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Dealing with the center staff and other patients in a decent manner and respect their privacy. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Following and respecting the center rules and regulations as regard to: \uf076\n<ul>\n<li>Following safety and security instructions including \u2013 No Smoking, avoiding taking photographs inside the center withoutauthorization. \uf076<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the proper use for center properties. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Providing accurate and complete information about their present and past illness history and any change in their health. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Understanding their health problems before giving any consent for treatment or procedure. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Following the instructions and medical order of their treating team and to involve them if they are unable to follow or not willing to follow the treatment plan. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Being responsible for consequences of refusing the treatment. \uf0b7<\/li>\n<li>Keeping and being committed to their appointment, and if they can\u2019t keep the appointment, it is their responsibility to notify the appointment office as early as possible.<\/li>\n<li>Assuming the financial responsibility of paying for all services
